I'm always amazed if I hear that somebody has been misdiagnosed regarding a simple infection...the procedure for diagnosis is dead-simple. You do a swab, a culture and then you put the culture under a microscope...chlamydia and bacteria causing vaginosis look radically different under the microscope...I have no idea how someone would be able to give a false positive...<br />
And yes, it is possible that the partner of a person diagnosed with chlamydia may test negative...
