    Not in the office (never worked in an office), but I had a boss that was a very drama prone. She didn't last long, as pizza joints don't like drama.

    It's possible that this boss is used to an environment of office drama, and in fact rose through the ranks by being the "victor" of said drama. Incidents like these are what allow some individuals to rise to heights that their competence does not reflect. A more effective boss would not desire such an environment and I would be wary of one that does, if not genuinely suspicious.

    Well, I kind of agree with you. It's kind of like the crap they pull on reality tv shows. Get people to go at each others' throats for entertainment.
