Has anyone ever had an experience of a drug-induced trance?

A friend of mine has recently recovered a memory of childhood physical and sexual abuse in which he was given a drug that caused him to become demonic. Since recovering this memory six months ago, he has felt himself to be in a permanent trance which has not lifted.

wakeupkaren	Posted Jun 1st, 2009 at 2:57PM Your friend most likely brought out this memory because it it something he needs to face and overcome. It won't lift until he does. It's just like any other case in which a person represses a memory. It's harmful to the psyche. Trances aren't necessarily a demonic experience. People all around the world self induce trance like states to search for answers. Rated: +1Vote for this!

dreamcast	Posted Jun 1st, 2009 at 3:21PM it sounds like the problem is that he had those experiences happen to him, like a suppressed memory. am assuming the drug if anything may only have facilitated the delusion, but am only drawing on the knowledge of the drugs i've now off, but it's probably something i would like to try at some point. :D Rated: +1Vote for this!
kazwaz1977	Posted Jun 10th, 2009 at 5:17AM Nah, but i did once see myself after smoking skunk, like a doppelganger, but a hallucination. Don't know any drugs that can make you 'demonic'. I hear meth makes you not far off though; not recommended. Rated: +1Vote for this!
