Has anyone ever read "Flowers for Algernon"?

I have read it many times, once when i was coming off heroin. It scared me senseless because I saw what I had made of my life.

My traumatic brain injury i got in 1971 makes me feel something like Charly as I have experienced a lot of what he went through.

if you read it did it have any impact on your life in any way?

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book. It held my attention from page to page. I was about David's age (jr. high) when I read it and really got to thinking from the story.

Thanks for reminding me.... EXCELLENT BOOK.

the movie wasn't too bad, but the book was better.

Speaking of... for many years it has jumped on and off the banned book list for different schools. (It took me reading it a few times to find the reference... there is a few paragraphs where he is discovering his sexuality...that was offensive to some::: gasp) Rated: +1Vote for this!
