Has anyone ever said something to you that you didn't understand at first, but later, you got what they said?

I've been told by several people that i'm an "old soul".

At first, I didn't understand what that meant. But then I got it. They were saying that i'm wise beyond my years.

Then one day it dawned on me, they took two pieces of bread out of a bag, put them in a toaster, when it was done, they put butter on it, and even jam. Rated: +3Vote for this!

I was in speech class and I had to do a presentation and at the end of the class some of them were saying I have a monkey on my back! I was so puzzled for some time. MsTiti	Posted Jul 18th, 2009 at 1:57AM Oh yeah--especially my dad. When I was younger, I didn't understand his logic, reasoning, point of view etc--so I didn't listen to him. I'm kind of a day dreamer, and even though I hear what people are saying, sometimes I don't "listen" until later when I'm replaying it in my mind. Then, the light bulb goes on.
