Has anyone noticed that in Japanese songs and poetry, something about the writing always seems different?

It's like the sentence structure has been changed. I don't know. If anyone else has noticed this phenomenon, do you know what has changed?

They have a different way of speaking and using words than English users do. For example one word might describe something perfectly that we use a whole phrase for or vice versa.

I think it's more about the fact that the author is Japanese that it feels strange for you (if you're not a Japanese yourself).
When a person write something, they left personal clues about their culture, tradition, society viewpoints.

For instance, you feel strange because the Japanese culture and tradition is not yours. When you read their wordings, you also get a glimpse of how their society members generally thought about something. Your feeling of strangeness can come from the fact that it is different viewpoint, so there you have it.

yes. It must be hard to translate. There is this song at the beginning of a japanese anime show that is funny translated. xxxholic. But you have to watch the beginning of the show to see what I mean, I laugh everytime I see it.
