Has anyone out there had a lucid dream?

Have you had a dream where inside this dream you realize you are dreaming, and you are able to control this dream?

The only lucid dream I can recall involved sitting in front of a computer, in the office, typing. I think I would rather have nightmares, than that. Come to think of it, it WAS a nightmare........

I actually have them quite often. Sometimes they cause me to stay in bed all day though. I'll come out for a sec, roll over and keep on with it over and over. It's like a really good story, and I really want to see what happens next, but it never ends. I can do it for a long long time..lol. Its a blessing, but it csn be addictive, lol.

I had the most incredible bitter/sweet dream in my life one time, and I was able to dream myself back there again on another occasion. I had been going thru the hardest period of my life. I had just lost my entire family due to my wife's infidelity of 3 years. I was left all alone without a clue as to why she had bailed out on me and found myself terribly depressed and confused. One night it was as if I had been transferred to a parallel universe. I found myself switching places with myself in a world that was the same place but, different. I replaced the other me and no one knew I wasn't the me they knew. The other me had a very nicely developed home with nice houses built on my land. His wife was a very beautiful loving wife, and she didn't know I had somehow switched places with her husband. ( I don't know where he went? I presumed he went to my life.) I woke up and was so disappointed to be back in my real world. I managed to dream myself there again one time.
It was so real; not like a regular dream. It made me think about the possibility of a multiverse all existing at the same time and place.

I dreamed today after a long time with someone I rather forget about. It was lucid, not that crazy and I can remember. Unfortunately.

I've had many and I love them. I also love the dreams that are sooo real you know you're awake, even though you aren't!

Yes I did have a lucid dream. I was in a room with my sister and we were both dreaming. We were asking each other what kind of dream we wanted to have and I said I don’t know, than I had the idea that I wanted to be on stage singing. I walked through a curtan and was out on stage in front of thousands of people screaming and yelling. I can’t remember the song I did but it was either by Cyndy Lauper Or Belinda Carlysle. My voice was absolutely beautiful and the crowd just loved me. It was kind of like the holodeck on star trek TNG very cool, I can’t wait for the next one.

Used to have them all the time when younger. I read somewhere that this was a very valued experience by some native American cultures.

I lucid dream almost every night. My dreams play out like movies. Most of the time Im watching, but I noticed that when its time for me to wake up I become a part of the dream in some way. I've controlled my dreams, especially my nightmares before. But most of the time I just let them flow.

All of the time. I used to have severe nightmares as a child which prevented me from falling asleep countless nights. The only way I could fall asleep was to pray. Then, if I had a nightmare sometime during the night, I would have to fix the outcome. I am still able to come to a semi-conscious state and influence my dreams.

yes, they are usually about flying which is very cool, or about me beating the SH#T out of someone, which is not very cool at all....

i used to have them a lot, but i realized that it made it so that i wasnt getting very restful sleep. mostly its just a feeling that nothing matters because nothing is real. and then sometimes i would start to panic because i cant find anything real, and i pull myself awake.
