It's problematic, but out and out racist may be too strong a word for it.

A white dude making a movie about a slave taking vengeance on slave owners is... assuming a knowledge and cultural experience he has no way of having. I also am not a fan of how Tarantino has magically granted himself an n-word pass. His movies have an adoring fascination with black people that's just a little weird to me.

But it's not reinforcing harmful stereotypes and it is very obvious about how ******* horrible slavery was, and wouldn't it be great to just kick a slave owner's ***? So to call it racist is a -little- strong when you have **** like 2 Broke Girls on TV. It's kind of racist, kind of not. Problematic.

It exposes some brutal truths about the slave trade pre-civil war but its not remotely racist. I thought it had all the elements of a modern epic. Great story, superb characters and performances, action of the most tarantino best and some laugh out loud moments. if it was racist i wouldnt have entertained it and wouldnt recommend it as an absolute must see. Its an anti-racist action love story western, Quentin T style. 10/10

It really leaves you with a good memory of the main characters and a real sense of having watched something beyond the usual decent film and into the realm of future classic.

it was long, and it was awesome.
Racist, ummm no it was about black slavery in a very Tarentino way. There was a lot of violence (as per usual) and there was a lot of scenes that shut the entire audience up as they internally gasped in horror at the reality of it. But it's a story. Bottom line one mans story, thread of thought building a story.
Honest I thought it was one of his best

It's Quentin Tarantino. It's bound to be an amazing film to be watched by mortal eyes.
And LMFAO at it being a "racist film". What the ****? How do people surmise such stupid thoughts.

I don't know, I watched it last night and thought it was great, but then I read some things about it this morning and apparently there's a lot of controversy about it. For me I would have to say best Tarantino of all time.

I don't know about that but it has Leonardo DiCaprio in it, so it's bound to be 3 or 4 hours long.
