Has anyone taken Acutane? What were your side effects? Any additional comments welcomed.?

Yes I did. And DO NOT ignore the side effects "suicide" side effects. I went into a deeeeep deppression while taking them. Once the treatment finished so did the effects.

I'm so glad to see this question. I have a teen son, always quite gentle and quiet. His grandfather is very image conscious so searched hard to find someone to prescribe this. Finally a doc reluctantly agreed. Ok, now his skin looks great. But he's become dangerously aggressive while on this med. It's like a malevolent personality has taken him over. He punched my father, whom he has always had a healthy fear and respect for. And my dad is a big, burly man. He has been off accutane 2 wks now, well guess what, he's back to himself only with some regrets and beautiful skin. It's a tough choice and some meds have warnings for a reason. I'm glad it's over.
