I took Welbutrin and it was horrible side effect-wise. Talk about the WORST dry mouth I've ever had. I didn't notice any improvement in my mood, and generally felt nausea a lot of the time. I don't recall if I ever did or not, but I know a lot of people feel suicidal when on this drug. Also, I don't recommend it if you're a smoker who doesn't want to quit-- it makes cigarettes taste and feel horrible because of how much it dehydrates you... In fact, Chantix (the new smoking cessation drug) is modeled after Welbutrin.

I'm not saying don't try it at all though-- this was my experience-- I am a firm believer that you should try it out first to see if it works for you rather than just take the opinion of someone else who tried it. I read horrible reviews about Effexor, but it's the only thing that's really worked for me.

kasey11	Posted Jul 6th, 2009 at 7:56AM Yes wellbutrin.. It made me soo anxious. Also hyper, would twitch in my sleep I was so wired. I lost all sorts of weight. But quit taking it when it messed with my short term memory. If you go on healthBoards.com you will see alot of people say the same. I don't recommend it ...... Rated: +1Vote for this!

Angeleyes777	Posted Jul 6th, 2009 at 11:18AM Yes have taken Zyban but only stayed on it for about 3 days cos my stomach swelled out and it made me crazy i'd shout and roar at the kids omg it was just awful. heppner427	Posted Jul 6th, 2009 at 1:24PM I am currently on the generic for wellbutrin. I have been on it for about 5 months and I have noticed a difference in myself... I have more confidence now and have lost about 20 lbs... I started it for depression, and had some side effects in the begining like insomnia and dry mouth, but gave it a few weeks and they subsided. It didn't make me a zombie or anything like that. I am well aware of my surroundings and with the hell I have been going through lately, who knows if I would have been able to cope with it...
