I took Abilify and it never had this effect on me.

I haven't tried that yet. What I HAVE tried is paying less for my abilify which costed me a ton, not having insurance. I went to vur.me/s/meds and printed out a discount coupon. Please pass the word so we can help people in the same situation.

I took Abilify for another reason and it didn't help at all, made me hiccup a lot, gave me a hand tremor (that went away when I quit Abilify) and did not help me sleep. I understand that is not what you asked, but it's my experience.

I had a horrible experience with Effexor. My brother took Celexa and had great results. I had success with Welbutrin. It takes a few times to get it right, but it's worth it. I also recommend cognative behavior therapy. Good Luck.

Abilify and Celexa together didn't cause insomnia for me. They actually made me pretty much a zombie. But I was also on Respiradol and Seroquel, so it could have been just me overdosing by doctor's recommendation.

Medications are an important part of psychiatric treatment but that being said Abilify is an anti-psychotic with powerful features which unfortunately have lasting and permanent side effects.

If you take Abilify long enough you will develop visible muscle twitches and spasms which others will notice. This will be a permanent visible stigma that you will live with for the rest of your life.

Your psychiatrist will not tell you this because psychiatrists lie- they lie all the time and believes its their professional obligation and privilege to lie.

My suggestion to you is to really consider whether you need Abilify as an adjunct.
