You're awfully young to want to try a detox diet so I recommend caution (depending on how extreme you take it). There are many ways to go about it. I'm in the middle of doing one (to see if the pain from fibromyalgia improves) that is an elimination diet. No sugar, pop, fast food, gluten, night-shade plants, etc. I tried the lemonade diet (a few years back) but that wasn't for me. Do your research and find what works for you and your needs. For me, each week i am adding something to my list of eliminated foods. Last week i went pop and coffee free, then this week i eliminated fast food (in addition to pop/coffee), and next week i will be picking another item to subtract. If all you want to do is lose weight, my personal experience was that eliminating gluten (even though it's been an on-going struggle) significantly decreased my appetite and made me drop pounds quick (almost too quick, if you can believe that). Good luck!

Yes, I used to be in that big time. I could go two weeks without eating anything. It does detox the body but it also depletes the body of vitamins and minerals. The best detox it to eat all green vegetables, with no oils, cheese or dressings. Collard greens and spinach seem to be the best. Eat that for a week and your body will eliminate more toxins without the harmful depletion of nutrients.

Thanks. I'll try that.

Despite the popularity of detox diets, nutrition experts say they are neither necessary nor scientifically proven to work.<br />
