Haven't you read the amendments to the Constitution? "Do unto others before they do it to you" It isn't a secret we don't like anybody unless we can profit from plundering them first.

Let's see we invaded Iraq w/o provocation. We claimed to be looking for weapons of mass destruction. There were none. None of the terrorists were from Iraq. We'd have been as justified in invading Muslim community in London. We've killed 1,000,000 Iraqi's, now that's f'd.

What do you mean "*become* a rogue state interfering with others"?

The US HAS BEEN a rogue state for more than a century. Just as the Mexicans, the Salvadorans, the Colombians, the Philippines, the Iranians, the Vietnamese, the Cubans, the Greeks, the British, etc.

The US opposes democracy in other countries, especially when those democracies prevent the US from stealing wealth:
    - the US overthrowing of Iran's democracy in 1953
    - overthrowing the Chilean democracy in 1973
    - attempting to overthrow democracies in Nicaragua, Greece, England and Venezuela
    - the US sent weapons to Batista in Cuba to help him murder pro-democracy activists

And so on. The list would take hours to complete.

Other than Obama's recent recent "secret war" style actions in Pakistan, what war are you talking about?

The Iraq was was done in line with UN treaties and frankly if all we wanted was oil it would have been much cheaper and easier to keep Saddam in power. As for Afghanistan, there is little doubt they were giving safe harbor to terrorist organizations including one that attacked the U.S. (There are spy satellite photos of training bases, field level intelligence and foreign countries including those hostile to the United States conceed the point.)

Also, if the United States is a tool of profiteers, how come those profiteers are abandoning the United States in droves right now for more favorable business climates in Asia and the Pacific Rim? If the profiteers had so much power, wouldn't they just steamroller over things like Obama's shutting down coal production and offshore drilling?

UN treaties are we subordinate to the UN? What about congressional approval as required by the constitution? And why do you think we are overseas? It's not to help the US. It's to bankrupt the world only remaining superpower to help the profiteers form a one world government similar to the UN, but with power exceeding sovereign states. And what happened to OIL prices after the war started?... They skyrocketed. Where do you think the power elite gets their money? Ever hear of the Rockefellars? They own Standard Oil and all the companies that were formed when Standard Oil was broken up for antitrust reasons. Why are the profiteers abandoning the US? Because our currency is going to be worth as much as toilet paper when it's over that's why.

Jhitt - So much rhetoric in that statement. Let me pick it apart. First off,is there any doubt that it would have been much less expensive for all concerned just to work with Saddam? (If you say it wouldn't have, you lose.) Second, can you point out the oil company that reported those huged double digit profit increases? The oil companies are just about all public companies (other than Citgo and a few others owned by foreign governments.) Can you point to any oil company and factually and with out rhetorical explain to me how they benefitted?

A Declaration of War approved by congress is Rouge? Or are you talking about Obama, invoking the War Powers Act?
