...if you and him/her don't live together, I mean. And did you accept the offer? My boyfriend offered to buy me groceries and help me pay a few bills. I refused all the offers. It's not that I'm poor and can't buy food/pay bills, it's just that my life runs on a much lower budget than his does. After buying all the necessities and paying my bills I'm broke, but my life is definitely livable, sooo it's not like I need his money.

Yes, in the fall of 1999, my ex had just got of prison and he said he knew I was in trouble, which was true. I hadn't eaten in a few days and I couldn't and hadn't paid my $5.00 rent in months. That year was hard for me and he just came on the scene and helped a sista out. I wasn't gonna let pride stop me. He brought me some groceries, gave me money, and took me shopping to get a dress so I could go job-hunting in. It had been a year since I was able to get the Sunday paper and the first job I saw I got. I was able to get back on my feet because of him and Thank God he came through when he did.
