Granted, Big hair, shoulder pads,and some other things weren't exactly my favorite. However, the best movies were
created, music change drastically, who could forget the moonwalk, and The king of basketball "MICHAEL JORDON"!

If I have to get my hair "BIG" again to be considered even remotely lady-like I am a doomed woman! I just had it cut into a summer "bob"! But it is funny that my teen agers are "discovering" so much of what I wrapped around my life and weaved through my days as a young adult. But, I think if I had a choice I might have to tweak just a few things before I let them go through that decade unsupervised (any decade unduperised). I had no Protector, so I got to see some of The Dark Side (all the more wiser I am today). It's kinda funny when my kids are like "you mean you know that song? You what? You saw him in concert? SWEET!! My mom's cool"(hah!if they only knew!they are clueless) But,I think part of the de ja vu experience is because some things just can't be improved upon. I mean,like Springsteen,for example. He,as do a few other Artists and Groups, stands alone. And I enjoy the fact that I was blessed to live my teen and young adult years during a time period when so many Timeless marks were established. OMG! Remember Jim Croche and "Time In A Bottle"??? I might have to let them "overhear" THAT. But, Springsteen...yeah,living in Smalltown godforsaken earthquake threatened tornado magnet everyone at or below poverty level,USA, he's da BOMB!!!

My mom felt this way recently when all the florals came back and the minis and she thought she was back in the 60s.. It's ebb and flow, its come and go, like the ocean tides I suppose. I'm not too chuffed to see the big hair, wide belts and bum length baggy jerseys myself, but I'm glad we're over the really LOW waist lines and Peekaboo g-strings under jeans.. lol.. I wonder what they'll revive next..
