No, just lust. And even then I had to make a choice of one or another. Now however, I know that's wrong.

I was at a bit of a crossroads before my marriage. On one hand I had a guy I felt like I could connect with on a million levels, the kind of guy you could talk to for an entire night and not be tired. He was successful but not a lot of fun and not very attractive. On the other hand I had a guy who was a Blast to hang out with. An eternal kid with model looks. However not successful... infact kind of a mooch and trying to have a serious conversation with this guy is like trying to get a fish to do math.

Go figure, I picked the cute, dumb, fun one and married him. I realized, I can be successful, serious and deep all by myself - but having someone to pull me out of my own head once in a while is a needed refreshment.

But thats just me.

Of course you can love and/or be in love with more than one person at the same time.
The ability to love only one person is a myth created by the Judeo/Christian establishment, who use it to control the actions of the masses.
It's tough in our society, of course, but you have to make choices and realize that love is a gift. You may never have the opportunity to create lasting relationships with all of those you love, but the love is there anyway.
Cherish the love, if possible, continue to build the relationship, but if it isn't possible, let the "other one" go and just hold the love in your heart. Perhaps in the next life you will have the opportunity to fulfill the love.

No. But I don't feel like you should chose between family, friends and loved ones.

In Love? In Lust? In-fatuation? Yes, yes and yes, but then I'm old and had lots of time to get into trouble. Also, the 1970ies and 80ies were pretty wild.

I've learned one thing: consider how you act on those feelings with regard to what it will do to the relationships involved. You don't want your partner to get mad and jealous, you don't want to acquire a jealous stalker who you shared 5 minutes of butterflies in the stomach with and who now thinks you're His/Her *****. And you really don't want to destroy a friend's relationship either by messing about.

On the other hand, if you never take risks and never act you never gather experiences and never have fun :-)

Also: you can love somebody as your teacher, as your brother or sister or confidante, as your protegee ...
