No, I took it to a clerk and paid for it. The sign said, *you break it you pay for it* and I broke it.

It was hard to tell. They didn't speak English, and they didn't smile or anything they just rang up the sale and took my money. I did insist on taking the broken item with me.

Yes, when I was about 6 .. but my parents saw it and made me come clean with a sales person .... pretty much marked me for life and I haven't since that early childhood experience ...

I broke an entire shelf off by dropping what I was holding onto i... couldn't get away unnoticed
