Have you ever had a feeling that something awful was about to happen- and did anything end up happening?

I have once, a few years back- it ended up being a true warning, a nauseating feeling and a deep depression. I was surprised by it.

An immense feeling of dread once when my heart was flipping out, literally thought my heart was about to stop or something, turned out to be pleurisy.

More than once - usually it is your subconscious picking up on cues and integrating facts your conscious mind is ignoring...it has gotten me in trouble - especially when I can not make a good enough case to back up my "gut feeling"...not so bad when it is small things, like, "Don't go down that street" or "stay along the wall" - or, say, when it is my decision, like August, 2001, I turned down a very lucrative job offer, for reasons I could not really define, but I never would have collected my first paycheck, since it was on the 103rd floor of the South Tower of the World Trade Center.

My gosh... "I've got a bad feeling" doesn't feel definite enough for some. Not backed up by facts or figures- but it will always win.

I started keeping track of it after awhile. It got to the point where it was hard to tell, because I started to figure out what the bad feeling was - a sniper, possible IED, trip wires...it was the more complex ones, that I feel bad about, the ones I had the bad feeling about, but could not convince others to stay away from.

Yes...last night I did something and convinced myself it was the right thing to do, while knowing all along that it was going to make things worse. The final verdict is not in yet, but it's not looking good...

I don't see how things will ever turn out right now...I fear I have ruined everything...
