For some reason even though the phrase is used for showing compassion and such, the phrase makes me chuckle a little. Have you ever had anyone say,"Come on, hug it out" to you?

My mother used to threaten me and my older sister with that if we continued to argue with each other - oh we hated it way back when but love hugs now ^_^

...no.

Men instead say "Helena, you need a hug. Come here babe"

I do not hear this question often but, if or when I do hear it, I will wonder why we are hugging it out instead of whipping it out. Digging it out. Excavation.

What it is, would dictate exactly what we would do to get it out.

What if I do not want it out, through hugs or other devices?

What if we get it out and neither of us want it once we get it out?

Ah, such a simple question, that raises so many counter inquiries.

...but no, no one ever offers me an opportunity with so many possibilities as this option seems to.
