Have you ever heard of birth control pills being used for knee or joint problems?

Well, it makes sense since the hormones released during pregnancy loosens tendons and relax muscles. The Pill tricks your body into thinking that it's pregnant.

It can also be used to prevent severe acne or to regulate periods, or make periods less painful and lessen the flow.

I've also heard of it being taken to improve hair and nail growth and strength. During pregnancy growth hormones are circulating throughout the woman's body as a result of the growing baby. My hair got so much thicker and grew like crazy during my last pregnancy. I clogged the drain with what fell out after I had the baby.

They seem to be finding more and more uses for the pill as time goes by. It's kind of amazing.

If only The Pill didn't make me completely insane I might take it.
