    I got the idea for this question watching Lucy and Ethel try to hang it. If you've never seen that episode, just know it is hilariously slapstick.

    Yes, a few times. As for me, I call it hanging because I hang my head in shame seeing the end result. I am not very good at this and would prefer to hire someone in the future.

    Never hung any. Called hanging because it can hang you up so easy.

    if done the proper way you hang the top then work down. just like hanging sheetrock or such. but with the right glue and straights. you would have no problem hanging it

    ah. yes. in construction, you "hang" quite a few things that the term doesn't really fit with.

    It's easy to do as long as you start in the right place and make sure the first drop is exactly vertical . i dont know why they call it hanging it should really be called sticking !!

    They call it hanging because the sellers of walpaper want to make you think your doing something artistic. They think their wall paper is artwork worthy to hang.
