Have you ever just wanted to shake someone?

Just shake them and shake them and shake them and shake them. And I'm talking about adults here, not babies.

Yes but I didn't because I don't have time to clean up the mess that will ooze from his ears.

I can make a pretty good guess about which adult you would like to shake.

If you did shake him, you'd just end up with a dizzy scumbag. He'd still be bad news.

I used to feel that way about my alcoholic mother. Shaking her would have just given me a dizzy alcoholic mother.

It doesn't work. The only thing you can change is your own behavior. Its up to other people to change themselves.

Sadly, in most cases, they choose not to.

more than you'd care to know, but then, in this damn day and age, they would press charges on accounts of abuse and then I'm screwed...

So let them do whatever the hell they want and eventually suffer the consequences of their actions later.

But then again, they'll get pissed off and say I was incompetent and communicating and then the blame will fall on me again, so either way i am screwed.

**** people and their idiotic and twisted views of reality and spend time living in a pathetic fantasy world. Let their own actions wake their ***** up.

I would like to shake, and slap very hard, random people who get in my way.
I would also like to carry a cattle prod to use on children and old slow people in shops and queues.

Depends on the person whom I'm shaking. Scare, threat or terror results in a negative manner.

If he or she is sleeping peacefully, a gentle shake is enough to wake them up.

If that person is unconsciously sleep walking, the intensity of the shake is a bit more but not in a way to shock and scare them.

If the person is sleep walking under substance influence, I shake myself so hard until he or she feel the earth moving under them, that they come out of their hiding place to check out what is happening.

In all situation, I prepare myself first, because when they wake, they need a lot of hugs and assurance that everything is under control and that they are save to come out from their hiding. Sometimes, you need to take them by the hand and guide them to a place where they feel safe to stay awake and face reality.

Bear in mind, it takes a lot of preparation to shake someone out of their hibernation. Some people will recoil even deeper when they feel scared or threaten by the tremor. After a slight earth quake tremor, we tend to fortified our home foundation, so that it can withstand the next earth tremor. An insecure person tend to toughened up his or her comfort zone shell before retreating back into his or her comfort zone. It will be much harder to pull them out from their deep hiding corner.

Takes a lot of effort, but its worth it when you love that someone.
