Never...

Best Answer

Yes,3 times at 3 different employers.I quit each time for conflict with management (I don't work well with power-trippers).I asked for all 3 jobs back.I got one back and stayed for 5 more years. The other 2 said no.If anything I was treated with more respect when I returned to work but I think my "please take me back" speech was part of the reason. Here's what I did:
1)I apologized,ONCE,for raising my voice.(I did not use the word "sorry"...sends the wrong message.)
2)I stood by my original point and told him respectfully that I would probably never change.
3)I agreed with him about everything else.
4)I kept it VERY short and sweet. Then I just quit talking and listened to him.
This works for getting an ex boyfriend back too, haha:)

No. Never look back. After I was laid off in 2009, someone asked me if I'd go back if they called me back and I said "No, that was the past and I'm looking to the future."
