Not anyone... but loads of stray animals... I remember sneaking this small kitten inside my house during a heavy rainstorm as a little tyke... But she.. or he... kept meowing so they eventually found out... Mother had always let us keep strays though...

Yep. One time that stands out was when my cousin (ten years younger than myself) was handing me clean plates to put away in the cupboard and the shelf cracked and broke, throwing all the dishes at us. It was a split second reaction to turn my back to it and grab her, being her shield. She was super tiny and those damn dishes went EVERYWHERE. Broken. We were barefoot. I was holding up the shelf and a pile of dishes that probably would've hurt her pretty bad, if not having crushed her.
