Not exactly "quit" like drinking alcohol, but I consciously made the switch to tea and tea drinks a couple years back. It's the only reasonable substitute, as easy as walking from one cooler case in the convenience store to another... but you can DIY and save as well. The key to the whole system is to brew hot and iced simultaneously: one large teapot for hot tea, and one small teapot for concentrate to be used for iced tea. Together, that's about one kettle of boiling water. The other bold stroke in this hydration scheme is to familiarize yourself with making lemonade from juice and sugar. Mixing that with iced tea in ratios between 1:2 and 1:1 is the basis upon which you can add different types of tea and juice to keep from getting bored.

Yes; for the most part. I've went from having one to two cans/ bottles a day to just having it when I eat out about every ten -12 days or so ... that's not too bad ...

Soda Pop can really add the pounds to a person , even DIET ! Plus it isn't really good for your teeth and digestive system ...

Sure, but its not that hard because I don't like it anymore, I'd prefer a cup of tea.

For almost a year and soon as I had my daughter I might've drank like 1 every two or three days.

Yes, and did all but quit for awhile, used to drink tons of the crap, diet. I did lose weight when I quit. It does taste like crap (especially diet, which I rarely drink these days) when you haven't had it in awhile, but you get used to it again, and then it's amazing (especially Mountain Dew).

I think I might not understand the question. Isn't soda just water, salt and CO2 ? I hardly ever have it and wouldn't miss it.

I hardly ever drink soda these days.

I think it's healthier; leaves you ultimately feeling better about yourself.

yes. and it made me cold all of the time because I lost that layer of pillowy insulation between my skin and the rest of my body. now girls hit on me, but I'm always shivering, or looking like a hippie from portland with my ugly wool sweaters.
