When my ex girlfriend used to get mad and yell it was really hard to take her seriously. mainly because the angrier she got the higher her voice got and the more she looked and sounded like a chipmunk.

Oh God, all the time. I get nervous laughter around conflicts/angry people, and sometimes I have to laugh at the most inopportune moments. But also some people just look and act ridiculous when they're angry...think flying spittle, red faces, volatile shaking of fists. You have the temper control of a toddler, and you're making a fool of yourself. If you're going to act like a two-year-old having a temper tantrum, I'm going to laugh.
