Have you ever woke up in the state of paralysis?

I have a couple of times and it was kind of scary.

It is scary, but it's pretty common. Usually if you just lay there a minute or two, your brain and body will catch up to each other. If it happens often, it can be a symptom of a sleep disorder.

Yeah it was terrifying! I couldn't move but I could see everything around me and then I heard someone yell out my name from my living room. I was living on my own.

I have only once. At first I thought I was lying with my arms over my eyes, since I couldn't open my eyes, then I noticed that I couldn't move anything at all. I was considering just falling asleep again, but decided to try to get out of that state. I was actaully kind of exhausting mentally, but I managed to "wake" the rest of my body.

No; the closest was when I woke up with a heart attack under way on Presidents Day morning a decade ago. It was kind of scary too.

Not strictly, but I often awaken to find that I have got severe 'pins and needles' in one or both arms that take some minutes to feel okay again
