My mom has it again. This time it's in her shoulder. Last time was in her leg, and she almost lost her leg.

i'm an RN too. i've taken care of many patients with MRSA in various parts of their bodies. it really is a mess. these patients were really sick before they got MRSA. there are a few antibiotics than can kill MRSA, but they're very strong and dangerous if not taken correctly.

my 4 month old grand baby had a diaper rash that looked weird and it wouldn't go away. the docyor cultured it, and found out it was MRSA. she was hospitalized for a week on IV medication. it went away and hasn't come back.

meteorite	Posted Aug 26th, 2009 at 12:19AM Yes-Ive had it-my son had it-and my bloke got it. I kept getting boils for about 4 years. My son got a few and I passed it on to my man accidently. He ended up in hospital, intensive care, isolation ward with a boil the size of a bread plate. I now use medicated soap religiously and swear by it. Hope your mum is ok-MRSA is horrible. Neveah	Posted Aug 27th, 2009 at 8:55AM My step dad had it, got it from the hospital. They quarentined him, and somehow treated it. I don't know how he survived because he also has cancer, at 75 yrs old, also underwent heart surgery. Prayers to your mom. Rated: +2Vote for this!
