My uncle had a car dealership and he showed me this trick. Asking around I found out no one had ever heard of this. It rained shortly afterwards and the water beaded up and the shine is Fantastic!

That is probably a great trick to make your car look great but not something you want to do on a regular basis. There is a clear coat of plastic something over the paint job and then wax. The kerosene will take that coat off in time and probably in a short time. I wouldn't do this very often.
