No, do it in person. Least face to face. Just say "hey baby I got u a gift" and get him a shirt with a dad slogan on it or something. Having a baby is a pretty personal and bonding type of thing. Might not be the best thing to start off by dropping the bomb with a care package.

Depends are you trying to have kids or was this not planned or is he the baby daddy? Depending on the situation you will have to adjust your approach to breaking the news, it could totally freak him out. But congrats anyways.
