Help. What careers could one pursue with a Bachelors in Applied Science?

My daughter has been exploring various Nursing programs and had settled on Wheaton College. However, they have a 3/2 program where she would end up with a BSN and a Generalist Entry Masters as well. I don't understand what these degrees are how they differ from just a BSN. Now she's considering a Bachelors in Applied Sciences and has been asking what career path it would lend itself to.
I just don't know how to answer!

Depending on what part of the world you are in, there are websites specifically designed to tell you what your career options are if you have particular degrees. The website of the University/college where the degree is to be taken should also do the same. Here in England, most Unis tell you what career paths you can follow with the degree you intend to take.

If you have no joy, tap in http://gre.ac.uk..this is the website of the Uni i will be attending (Greenwich University) and if you look for the degree closest to your daughter's, it should be able to give you a rough idea.

Hope this helps...good luck!

"Fields of engineering are closely related to applied sciences. Applied science is important for technology development. Its use in industrial settings is usually referred to as research and development (R&D)."

Kind of didn't think that one through, did you?

I mean--the idea of getting a degree is to find a job and make money. You really shoulda had an idea of what you wanted to do prior to getting the degree.

Your daughter needs to do some research I think! : ) Talk to advisors at different schools. She prolly would be best off looking at what career she wants THEN choose her degree. lol

If she doesn't know yet -- then perhaps she can set up som einternships or volunteer to try some fields out.

Best of luck!! ANd she can always change her mind - plenty of peopl edo. *Deep breaths*
