ok so i was on omegle and this guy was like hi (insert my name) i was really freaked out did he hack my computer i mean im on that website alot and ive only said my state and age and first name thats not enough for him to like stalk me right im scared yes ik this might not be the site for this question but im really scared cuz its happend befor a few years back and i just started going on again and it happens again is it just a joke?

but i diddent now him O_o pluse he admited that he's been pretending to be other people so i talk to him as if i was talking to a stranger but mabe he was trolling idk

No. I've seen this happen on a meme before. Someone was just going around saying " Hi ___" and actually got someone's name right. I think people took note of this and started doing it themselves.

How would a random person on a website who was randomly selected for you to talk to, be able to hack into your computer so quickly? That wouldn't make sense, he would've already had to have 5 minutes prior ( if he is a super genius like Garcia on Criminal Minds ) just to get something out of you.

And if he/she is, think of the mere chance that he or she actually got, just to talk to that very person and if someone is hacking into your computer I very much doubt that they would drop any hints.

They could be. It just seems far fetched, don't you think? I know it's freaky or whatever but there is a very slim chance that they are. If you still feel a bit uneasy about it you can try to get some sort of protection from it.
