If the natural cure is diet and exercise, that is always good. If the natural cure is some homeopathic remedy, I would be very very careful. Unlike the medications, natural remedies do not have to go through rigorous testing. You have no idea as to the potency of the herbs, etc in the pills and no assurance that they will work.

a few yrs back I went on a massive diet, also for weight and also for cholesterol.
I lost weight and my chol. counts went down, but after a few months it started climbing back up, as if the body adjusted itself to the diet and the cholesterol went back up.
for the past 3 yrs I've been back on pills.

Depends upon the root cause. If this is a dietary issue, diet and exersize can help. If it is genetic it means your liver is converting extra sugar into cholesterol. Step one - in your family are there others with high cholesterol? let me know.
