    so ok...Homo means man Sapien means Wise. so wise man.. Ok now....lets see here..Hetero comes from the Greek word heteros meaning another party or other.used in Science as a prefix to mean different.
    so going to Etymology of the words....
    Homo Sapiens = Wise Man
    Hetero Sapiens =Other man/ different man

    Looking at it that way...we are really NOT that wise...so different man seems appropriate now =D
