How can I effectively lose weight?

Eat 500 less calories a day (two candy bars) and burn 500 extra calories a day (fast walking for an hour) exertion = 2 pounds a week weight loss. You could be 15 pounds thinner by Christmas.

drink water, cut down on fat, excersize...that can be: dancing, swimming, walking...fun stuff! God bless!

If your dieting to conform to the ridiculous stereotypes in magazines, forget it & love yourself more. If you want to lose weight for health reasons, eat smaller portions & eat SLOWLY, give your stomach a chance to tell you it's full before you've already eaten too much! Oh yeah & move your body more than you do now, good luck. :)

Stop eating and start drinking lots of water. Take vitamins and electrolytes, too.

1. no bread, no pasta, no red meat, no sugar
eat soup and/ or salad every day, drink water
2. no eating after 6 pm
2. Exercise 30 min a day / at least

in 2 weeks you wil see difference!

You can eat whatever you want as long as you stay within 1500 calories per day. Also, exercise..

Eat balanced meals.
Sip water or juice between bites.
Take smaller portions.
Eat only when you're hungry.
The best way to resist temptation is to REMOVE temptation--so don't even buy junk food, and you won't be as tempted to eat it.
Store food out of sight.
Try not to eat while on the computer or watching TV--your mind won't be on what you're eating, so you'll be more likely to overeat.
Exercise more than what you're doing now. You don't have to kill yourself--just step it up a little bit.

Restrict your calories.Try to eat around 1200-1400 a day(for a woman) and include protein,fruits and vegetables with every meal. Work out at least half an hour daily, 5 days a week and drink lots of water. You will not see results immediately (your metabolism will reset) but after a month you will steadily start dropping about 4-5lbs. a month. The best part is that the weight stays off! I tried this 5 years ago and it works. Good luck!

Eat 5-6 small meals a day

(Eat every 3 hours)

-Breakfast
-Snack
-Lunch
-Snack
-Dinner

Workout everyday for atleast 30mins a day (walking) is good to start off with

(Eat nothing after 7pm)

Drink "Smooth Move" tea before bedtime every night,
if you stomach cramps up, drink a glass of peppermint tea after

(You can find those teas at the whole food store )

Find a lifestyle that controls your caloric intake and that you can stick to forever.

Short term diets don't work. That's the real meaning of the silly phrase "diets don't work".

All calorie controlled diets work. But ONLY if you can stick to them for the long term.
