It's call prioritizing .. if you feel you are a slave to your job which is draining you, than look at how you can stabilize the me time. Look at your life and all that it evolves.. it's called creating balance in ones life. If all that your life is about work and not much else.. than outside factors have taken over. Eliminate the things that have no value.. and increase the things that do. The present is what you create.. the now, that you live in. It's your free will that is having an impact nobody else. Take back your free will and do what you want to do.. do the things that you have to do to sustain yourself but incorporate the things of pleasure... reconnect with yourself ..so your quality of life improves before it is too late . Take those pleasure walks, get out with your family .. go on those short trips .. nothing has to be about money unless you make it so.. nature has an abundancve of beauty that doesn't cost anything but your time to enjoy it. By reconnecting with yourself your quality of life will improve.. emotional, intellectually, and physically. You create from within,, balance, harmony, joy, wellness,happiness.. connect with the universe .. the more you do the more dramatic and faster your life will improve...I send you great blessings of harmony so your life will be enlightened from within... Good luck in finding your dreams again.

I hear you. Personally I compartmentalise my life. Next I've taken my dreams apart and looked at what I really wanted out of them. Having done that, I broke them down to a non time sensitive model. (This is business jargon for "I worked out a way I could do what I wanted to at a time that suited me.) Now I spend my spare time doing what I need to for the good of my soul instead of watching rubbish on TV. That leaves my work and family life untouched. It isn't perfect, but it works.

I know I'm in my mid 20s so you may take me seriously. My dad is in his 50s and a workaholic. I don't know exactly what else he wants to do with his life. I do know that he wishes he had more time to spend with his family. So he makes sure he spends as much as of his free time with us, if he gets a break sometimes we go on family trips.

Maybe this could help you find your dreams. I like reading and watching inspirational movies like 'The Bucket List', 'Last Holiday', 'Yes Man', '7 things to do before I'm 30'. They all basically have the same theme of discovering and making your dreams a reality. You are never too old to fulfill a dream.

At first, I came up with a list of things which I want to do - random things which do change from time to time. And I'm trying to do the things on my list.

After that I noticed that there are 5 things that must be in my life to give me a balance.
1. God - I need God in my life
2. Family - very important to me
3. Science - well my job is in health sciences
4. Art - my talent and main hobby
5. Travel - even just short trips once in a while

I hope this helps - find inspiration, write and act, prioritize.

"Find my dreams again" is a very interesting phrase. It sounds as if you are completely out of touch with your own inner spirit.

First, pay attention to your dreams, what you feel is missing in your life.
Second, ask yourself what you would if you had unlimited resources and no responsibilities to anyone. This should be a clue as to where your heart lies.
Third, find a way to work those dreams into your life.
