How can i find out what type of breed my dog is?

they have DNA kits for dogs now, you could get one of those.

Speaking as a dog trainer and animal care worker, I can give you my best guess. It looks like it could be part Pomeranian. It could have some Papillon in it as well. Very cute dog. I recommend getting a DNA test.

Place a photo of your dog and my wife that is a qualified dog trainer and kennel master can help you.

Just ask your dog. (Joking). I would either:

a) Ask a vet
b) Look through an online dog gallery
c) Walk my dog and wait until I see someone with the same kind of dog and ask them, lol

The concept of species and breed are not that clearly defined. A "purebred" Black Lab is not that different from a Lab mutt in terms of genes. For example... saying your dog is half lab, half doberman only tells you that each parent resembled a particular breed. When the genes recombine any combination can result.

Dog fanciers will tell you differently, but....mutts are cheaper, healthier and not "less" than a "pure" bred.

Doggie DNA test would be the way to go.
