Offer to give up Twilight if he gives up WOW.

If it's really bad, get him into therapy to find out why he feels the need to immerse himself in the game. Do it soon.

For reasons passing understanding, WOW can actually turn into an addiction, same as gambling, drinking, etc.

Good luck.

You calmly explain to him how you are feeling- that you understand how much he enjoys WoW, but wish that he would cut back on it to spend time with you. Perhaps you could come to a compromise, he can play for a certain length of time a day without a peep from you, but after that, the computer needs to be shut down. These are rules you'd set for a child, and it sounds like that's what he's acting like. If he refuses to compromise, then it might take you leaving for him to realize just how much he stands to lose to a game. But, remember, when you ARE together, don't nag him or otherwise make things unenjoyable, because if it's between that and fun, it's a clear choice.

There is no turning back.
Cross over... to the dark side.

Resistance is futile!

It is an addiction and an escape. You have to really look him in the eye and say that there is a problem, and don't back down as he justifies, makes light of it, etc. Tell him you want him back in the real world with you.

Find someone who plays a lot and hire them to go into the game and assinate your husband charater. Sounds extream but hey so are the ones who play.

Oh NO! Once there are in, it seems like there's no escape! I lost two friends to WOW. . .
It's a tragedy. :(

Are there any interests and actives your husband enjoyed before he became infected by WOW?

my brother knows this dude that is obsessed with that game...So obsessed that he didn't even give a sht that his wife went to Florida and left him there---still playing that stupid game! Tell him he need to get some help. There is something seriously wrong with someone who has to live their life through a game. I wish you the best of luck.

I agree with TheOutsider's reply. You have to tell him in a friendly, yet firm tone, how it makes you feel and explain why it cannot continue as it is. Suggest the compromise she did. Point out to him that IF he loves you the way he should be SAYING he does, then he needs to SHOW IT by limiting his time in that fantasy world. EVERYONE is entitled to their hobby/free time and he deserves to have it as well. However, if it is taking up more of his time than YOU ARE, then something is amiss.

Last chance effort: Suggest counseling. Tell him you two need to return to what you had when you met and that you feel counseling is required if you are to remain in the relationship.

Good luck!

Post his WOW username in a forum and put a price on his head... that way those really really high level users can just kill him everytime he pops up in the game world =)

Sooner or later he will break the keyboard, monitor and the entire computer itself.

its Priceless ;)

aww good luck with that one lol! Maybe you could dress as a damsel in distress and ask him to 'rescue' you? Roleplay definitely an option here, haha.

Explain to him how the lines of communication are down. Tell him how you miss him. Also try standung next to him while he is playing the game and get his attention by saying something like: "I need my Level 99 Knight for some noble service". If that fails try telling him something like You are going to a (female) friends house for a sex toy party and you want to explore your bisexuality with you gf ******* toys.

My husband is a video game addict its pretty much impossible. When he does resurface to realitymake it a point to show how much you miss him and try attemping things the both of you used to do
