Keep in mind not all birth parents are delighted when they are found. Birth certificates are never erased. They are only sealed. That means they exist but cannot be opened without a court order. Get said court order and you can see it.

You can't. In most cases adults can't get an order to unseal adoption records. Must have a very good reason.

Who wiped his Birth certificate clean? depending on your answer, you could try the central place where Birth , death, and Marriage certificates are kept, and order a copy of your dad's Birth certificate.

If they've really been "wiped clean", they were officially changed where such records are kept. Adopted children typically are given a "new" birth certificate at the time of adoption, and the old records may not have been kept. That's how it was 50+ years ago.
