There are shelters for women who are being abused. There are resources out there. In the mean-time save every penny you can.

That is such good advice, please don't stay in that relationship for a minute longer than you absolutely must

There is plenty of support out here & you have to be willing to go to them in order to stop being in abusive relationship. Shelters, churches, family? close friends? Ask someone or just chat to get some ideas and something will appear that you need to be strong and protected

I am so sorry to hear that you are in an abusive relationship; you DON'T HAVE TO STAY in it though and I hope that your answers will be a good support to START looking for ways for you to ESCAPE the abuse. NO ONE deserves to be abused; in any way. Please START with yourself; telling yourself that you don't want to continue with this relationship and GET AWAY from this person asap. Domestic Violence shelters abound and you can file a restraining order and "get your things" and leave to a safe place. There are MANY people who care and will do whatever they can to help; you need to take the first step...you can do this.

So sorry for you first of all. Oprah ( yes her again ) did a whole show on this, I am sure you can find details on her website. You need a plan and to stay safe. If possible document the abuse and keep that record at a safe place away from home- helps with a restraining order later, or prosecution of the abuser. Take out your documents from home, passport etc and keep in a safe place. You need somewhere to go, so shelters are everywhere and you can contact them for advice, availability in your area. Main thing is to keep safe, wishing you luck on escaping, many have.

Go to the nearest Police Station & tell them you fear for your life and need help urgently.
