Resolved Question

She was so afraid to have a physical exam even if she's feeling "something unusual" for the fear that she has cancer and die eventually and no one can can reassure her that everything will be fine and that we are always on her side. Finally on saturday I was able to brought her to the doc's clinic and had her x ray and whole abs utz and next week blood tests... result of her tests so far so good only she have GERD and need meds for it and her BP is a little bit high for her age of 59 (140/100)... For her GERD she said she is taking her meds but we found out that she isnt and just like that... how can we convince her that she needs to take her meds to make her well? She only agreed to be brought in the clinic because of 2days severe stomach pain that she could hardly eat/drink, after the doc's appointment, she havent taken any meds at all..

Her bottom line b.p. is high. I'd follow Woodins suggestion and show her also what pains stroke victims go through to recover also ! Be sure to be aware of any side affects of these meds, so she doesn't get afraid all over again. Assure her that as her body improves with t he meds, so will the side affects. Good luck with this !
