I would LOVE to live in FL! Anywhere closer to a beach would be my idea of paradise!
Do you not live within driving distance of the beach?
I know if I did I'd practically LIVE there!!! :)
Is heaven on earth - I live where it's cold all winter then rains a lot in the summer - count your blessings!
You sound like you may be a little home sick try looking for a social group to join meetup.com has lots to offer in most places. I use it every time we move and I'v made some great friends over the years!!!
imagine all the people who would love to live in florida and then imagine being stuck in texas. this may make it a little more enjoyable! =)
Well, if you're in southern Florida, you might want to try Sanibel island! It is off the tip of Florida, not too many people (mostly older couples) and they have no flying cockroaches! We wet in February but now would probably be better. Like I said there isn't too many people so it's a really cool little island! I would highly recommend going there to make your trip a little more enjoyable!
hey! i missed seeing the coral castle. don't make that mistake.
Take your talents to South Beach!
I am in South Fla. It's been my home. Where I was born.
I don't like cold. Even A.C. is uncomfortable for me. I am nearer the east coast. Tho the west coast (gulf)is lovely too.The beach should not be too far. There is most always activities somewhere on the beach. Hollywood has free concerts. It's fun to just sit and people watch. BUT there is the problem of parking. It's so expensive. Do try driving to the Keys. It's lovely there. Was home of Hemingway back in the DAY.
Yep it sucks but it sucks you in
If you ever get a good answer to this, let me know. I hate it here too.
Where are you in fl?
Agree. I call it the land of liars, lizards, and snakes. It's hard to find an honest person here from car mechanic to Expensive Attorney. It seems like everyone here is trying to figure a way to scam you, usually by befriending you and helping you with something like a home project, or whatever. They continue to gain your trust until one day you figure "this dude's pretty cool", and leave him alone while you go to the store or something. You never see him again, nor do you ever see half the TV's furniture, jeweler y, or other valuables he absconded with. Professionals are no different. Somebody always wants something from you, even women. Young pretty girls throw themselves at you simply for security, what you might buy them or taking them out on the town. If you think they're sincere... you're wrong. Until, of course... you PUT it on them good. Then you can't get rid of their jealous ***.
dude, i'm trying to move to florida! i don't like Delaware!!!
I hate it too and I am miserable and have only been here 5 months. The looongest five months of my life. I wish I knew what to do to make it better here.
