How can I stop loving somone?

First off...no contact with this person...that means don't see him, talk to him, write to him....the hardest thing is seeing/being around him, knowing how you feel, versus the way you feel.

The way our minds work...once you are not being constantly reminded of him, it will become easier to move on....and your feelings will subside....Love, like many other things need nurtured, and if it isn't, it will die.

That pain is not love. It is fear. Keep the love, ditch the fear.

make the choice not to.... love is a choice... its gonna take time and commitment but you can stop loving someone... think about it... its not like you loved the same person your whole life and if love isnt a choice then why was this person able to stop loving you???

I get tired of people saying that you have no choice in who you love... so no true ... its not wise to love someone who cheats on you or beats you or is mean to you and some women stay in these situation because they think they love them... when really they are making the choice to

I don't think it ever stops it just fades with time;

I understand how you feel because I am also trying to fall out of love with someone who does not love me. It is hard but I agree with what everyone else is saying, you have to cut off contact and out of sight out of mind eventually.

You won't forget him completely but your heart will heal with time and also, eventually, you will meet someone else and then your memories will fade even more.

Until then though, do fun things with friends, get busy at work/school, etc. Try to take your mind off things and cut off all contact.

you cant actually stop you just have to let that person go..do u know what I mean? you can love someone without being in love with them....once u can let them go only time can heal the rest...

i like the way the singers Big and Rich put it "you never stop loving someone you just start loving someone else"-- i know how you feel and wish for you the fastest recovery through your feelings-- it still hurts a little here and it has been many many years for me --but i don't regret feeling the way i do/did for this person but it has taken a while to understand that not everyone that we fall in love with will feel the same way we do

Find someone else to love, someone who will love you back. OR/AND think of something you dont love then when you picture him picture the thing you dont love over his picture blowing him away. Sounds weird I know but it works.
