How can i talk this teacher into letting me move down a class?
My teacher won't let me move down a class, he is head of this particular subject and i find the work quite difficult in his class. Because there is a issue regarding me and him it's really hard to talk to him although he tries to talk to me. I really want to move down a class and he doesn't even help me anyway. I tried asking him and just said the other class do the same work as us, which i don't understand because if they do the same work, then he should let me move. I also have dyslexia, so it really doesn't help being in his class as he just stares at me though out the whole lesson.
Thanks for your answers :D

I fear it's not quite as simple as "talking him into it". Teachers have to consider all sorts of things when arranging for pupils to change classes, especially the implications of moving down a class - the numbers already in the class, the relative ability levels and so on - and he may feel that the fact you find the work difficult isn't sufficient justification for agreeing to it.
If on the other hand you really want to pursue this in the light of the "issues" you say there are, then I think you're going to need to get your parents involved and for them take it up officially with the Head or Principal of the school.Like (2)

Your questions is "how can I talk this teacher into letting me move" and that may be your greatest hurdle. Perhaps YOU cannot TALK your teacher into letting you move. First of all, in most school settings the teacher does not have a the authority to move you to another class. That is handled at an administrative level.
IF the work is too hard or you have dyslexia then YOU are not the one to assess the need. Several have suggested you talk with your counselor or your administrator -- and you should.
Honestly, YOU cannot resolve the situation without their assistance. Your teacher cannot change you from one class to another without administrative action.
Tomorrow is Monday. Make an appointment with your counselor and/or your principal and address the real issue. Be honest with them and yourself. They are there to help you.Like (1)

I assume you're in high school? If that's the case, get your parents or guardians involved, and get evaluated. Keeping you in a class you can't handle is a waste of time and money.
If you are in college and/or 18 or older, you can do whatever you feel necessary.Like (1)

Get your parent(s) or guardian(s) involved. Tell them what's happening. If not, then you may fail the course thanks to this clown of a teacher. Good Luck.Like (1)

The same issue with the teacher you think may be a bit too interested in you? Talk to a counselor or the head of the school and request a transfer since he makes you uncomfortable. If he resists then mention why he makes you uncomfortable.

Doesn't your school counselor have control of this. You should go over his head.

Tell your school counselor how you feel and what your struggle with the class is about.
