How can I write love from/with love in a christmas card without actually writing it?

If you want to be formal, just write "Merry Christmas" and sign it.

If you want to say "I love you"... get a blank card, or make one yourself. Write a short note (e.g. "Have a wonderful Christmas, thinking of you always"), finish with "With all my heart". Add a few "xxx". Get a bit soppy - "My beautiful friend" or "My wonderful companion". Write from your soul. Good luck!

Not sure why. Nothing wrong with telling people you love them in so many words.

you could say "with adoration"..... but why wouldnt you want to say love ...???

just draw a big heart color it in and sign your name they will know what you mean!

I can see why you want to do something like this. The problem with using xxoos is these are now neutral and everyone uses them so he will not get your message. I think you just have to think of something clever -

how about signing off with a favorite movie quote- he will get the message it is about him. Or say it in another language, or write a poem just for him ( a nice short haiku), or say it the cheesiest way you know, or upside down, write it on his desk at school in a class you are in together (someone did this to me!).

And I am glad you are doing it in writing. Just for kicks I will tell you a story. When I was in 10th grade a guy said he loved me in public in front of 150 people. Yes it had the opposite effect than he intended- The whole class laughed, and I was so embarrassed that I was even too embarrassed to run out of the room- instead I put my head down and didn't look up until the class was over and I had walked out of the room.

Anyway I hope I gave you some interesting ideas that may spur your own.

i personally am a fan of hearts when closing out a letter. they can take it whatever way they like.
