I read an article years ago; Readers Digest it was, actually. It posed the question of how we are encouraged to lead a stress-free life, and then (sort of) shot off in a different direction. The article stated, words to the effect, that tackling stress should be part of *good* living. It said that if we all did our very best to divert ourselves from stress rather than face it when it *neds* facing, then how would we cope when stress, from outside, finds it's way in and whe *have* to deal with it? It went much deeper than this, of coures, but ended up in stating that if we fail to face stress, then a time might come when something we should be able to face becomes unsurpassable and, in effect, could be damaging to our health in a different way. And this, to me, makes a bit of sense to say the least.<br />

I think we should each be working at handling stress rather than beating it. I think there is a difference, but not sure if you might see where I am coming from :)<br />
