I'm originally from South Africa, and though i don't claim to know all the facts i wish i did. I left about 7 years ago because my dad was panicing and have never gone back. I guess people like to have their say, but if you don't live there you'll never understand the situation completly.

I agree with luckypickle. Once you find out the facts, things change in a split second.

I guess it's called 'freedom of speech'.

Everyone is still entitled to an opinion, however misguided you may think it is, and it may be. But I am so grateful that we are still allowed to think and say what we think...it scares me because some do not want people that don't agree with them to be allowed to speak at all, note the 'block' on this site...l

That being said, I really don't know anything about your country or its politics, so I would not offer an opinion.

Depending upon whether the question is purely a 'factual' question or not (i.e. Does South Africa still use the 'Rand' as it's official currency) vs. an 'opinion' question which may use some portion of the 'facts' as it's guiding element (i.e. Is South Africa a safe enough place to hold the 2010 FIFA World Cup?) it can be appropriate to provide an answer with out knowing 'all' the facts. Not to mention it is prohibitively difficult for anyone to know ALL the facts about any given question.

You can only answer with the facts you have. If you get more facts you can change your opinion and/or answer.
