How can you know that God hates or loves the world?

It's strange how we project such human characteristisc like love or hate on God. God just is. God doesn't need to filter it's creation into opposites!

To be honest, I don't think anyone can know with absolutely certainty what God is thinking. We can only assume. And anyone who thinks they know anything about God with absolutely certainty is kidding himself/herself.

I think they want to share the love they have in their heart. :)

That's a faith shaker! Bad things happen to Good people all the time. Inocent Children are murdered or starved to death in the thousands each day. Just watch the news. We are not doing a very good job apparently. I'm afraid the universe is a little pissed at us.

Our Heavenly Father loves us, but hates our sin. (He is too pure and holy to look upon such filth.) That is why Jesus walked the earth - Jesus bridged that gap so we could return to our Heavenly Father.

In the beginning, as written in the book of Genesis, God created man in his image. He then found that it so disgusted him; he flooded the world to be rid of him! So much so, that in his rage, countless millions of innocent babies and animals from around the globe brunt the tip of his wrath. But what's the destruction of tens of millions of innocent people and hapless babies, along with fluffy purring kittens, and gregarious tail-wagging puppies, as well as long-legged unstable foals the world over, when God has the need to prove something, to the sinful few?

Ah huh.

Then, in the New Testament, it's written that God so loved this same world of sin and debauchery that he sent his only begotten son to die for it. And because the sinful people of the world remained unchanged over all this time (otherwise, no need for Jesus to come and do anything), we learn that it was God, who suffered a change of heart.

Ah huh.

But you should know that the God of the Hebrew Bible is a so fickle that he runs hot and cold against humanity -- like a leaky faucet! One day it's this, the next it's that where you are damned if you do, and damned if you don't. But don't you find it rather curious that a God, one who says he so loved the world that he would never tamper with free will, uses coercion to get his way?

Hmmm...

What was it again, that a loving and caring God said about this particular arrangement? Oh yeah! It was Deuteronomy 28:58. "And God said, 'If you will not observe to do all the words…written in this book [the Old Testament], that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59 then the LORD will make your plagues astonishing, and the plagues of your children even greater, and of long continuance, and a sore suffering of long continuance.'"

Hope this helps. It's a little something I like to call, "enlightenment." But of this, you can be sure: I let the Bible speak for itself. This way, I mitigate my involvement with the truth.

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to redeem mankind.

What do we do with it?

We DESTROY IT!!

He loved it because it (along with the universe) is so beautiful. Despite the attempts of one of his less successful acts of creation (humanity) to wreck all this, Christians believe he then sent his son to show them that they are forgiven and redeemed

Just to add to what's already been said; If God hated the world he would destroy it. Because he loves us he is patient with us.

wow i don't know how someone can create an earth.did he make the air to? wow.the earth has been her for who know's how long millions of yrs perhaps,and it will be here once all of us are looooooong gone.
