well lets see , if it has a gaping big @ss hole in it then you'll need the following supplies and tools :<br />
a few Rolls of esophagus steel clad iron stone mesh and Tin , a Drill with reverse as well , a 16th of an inch or something close steel drilling bit for the chuck of the drill , Duct Tape in case something goes horribly wrong , Band-Aids if your a total clutz , a lunch , this will take some time , kidding ! , ha ha , you would need a specialist in repair of Antique and Ancient Artifacts and Finds

You really can't. If you have a lot of years, and can control the GERD that caused it in the first place, then you have a chance of it growing back. It may be scar tissue, or may even become cancerous, but that is what you have to wait and see.
