Stop bothering with them as much, reject them in small ways when it goes too far. If you're not attracted to them you obviously wouldn't go past friends. I mean tell them specific things you don't like as they come up, rather than saying you completely don't like them as a person.

You can not; but it is kinder to do this sooner rather than later. Unrequited love will always hurt; but never as much as when it walks hand in hand with false hope.

Not possible. It's the same basic message but they'll have to be told.

there is no way to tell anyone you don't like them without hurting their feeling, cause that truth..even if you never tell it, that truth will hurt them painfully.

Aw, someone annoying you with their friendship again?
My advise would to find out their stance on some hotbutton issue and obnoxiously take up for the opposite side. They're pro-life? Be pro-death. They're a Democrat? Be a Republican. They like Star Wars? Be a Trekie.

They will peel away from you faster than the skin off an onion.

Best thing in the end is to be honest. If you don't have honesty and trust you really have nothing. That is with friends the same as it is with love.
